Founder, Be Fearless Global
Author, Unstoppable - The pathway to living an inspired life
Thinker, writer, speaker, facilitator, coach, armchair activist, fearless (sometimes) father of three alarmingly fearless grown-up adventurers.
A consultant, entrepreneur and leader - in no particular order.
My entrepreneurial journey started in 1994 when I left KPMG to co-found Partners for Change, a business change consultancy that was one of the fastest-growing private companies in the UK in the late 1990s.
Following the sale of the company to Diagonal plc in February 2003, I spent a couple of years working with start-up businesses before going on to spend seven years as a Director of Innovation & Change consultancy Ignite and then decided to "go portfolio" in 2012.
Since then my consulting roles have ranged from change management advice, both to global organisations and to an innovative, ambitious services group, to business development for Regtech and Fintech firms.
My focus: Talent, Disruption & Constructive Paranoia
I am fascinated by the dynamics of human impact in business.
How do great leaders create followship?
How do we predict which pieces of seemingly innocuous technology will be adopted by swathes of people and disrupt an existing product or service out of business?
Who is persuading our customers that they represent a "better" way of doing business?
How do we inspire and empower an entire workforce to adopt new behaviours?
SUE LIBURD MBE
I have been a long-term associate and programme director at IHD and collaborate closely with Adrian Gilpin on delivering Fearless solutions to IHD’s corporate clients.
Operating at the intersection of where a business is now and where it needs to be, I help leaders make better decisions. I spark bigger thinking, enable fresh perspectives and the envisioning of new possibilities. I welcome discussion with business leaders looking to take themselves and their businesses to the next level.
With an interest in executive education I sit on a number of boards at the University of Lincoln and on other not for profit organisations.
I was honoured to be awarded an MBE for services to Business, Charities & Voluntary Organisations in 2016.
I am an independent project director, leadership coach and board facilitator, collaborating regularly with the Institute of Human Development and Oxford University’s Said Business School among others.
The common theme across my work is helping organisations do what it takes to inspire the very best performance and fulfilment from their people. Most of what I know about this has been learned from my career as a management consultant and sponsor of the “people agenda” at PwC and IBM, and latterly running Executive Education programmes with Oxford Said. My driving passion throughout, which inspired the IBM Fearless programme, has been a determination to enable people to bring their full selves to whatever they do.
I try to bring my own full self to everything I do: playing music, parkrunning (Run Director at Ally Pally), charity work (Wave Café and A Rocha), and navigating life with my wife and our four grown-up daughters.
